For most of us, opening our hips and unlocking our spine is a deep and long process. The benefits and rewards of learning how to safely open our hips and spine last a lifetime, and maybe even lifetimes. :)

Deep & Free is for all practitioners of Yoga and life. You will learn how to co-activate muscle groups and joint complexes, which we call bandha. This practice will create stability and mobility in your joints, while lengthening and strengthening your muscular system, often at its end range of motion, which is the most vulnerable position. Learning how to stabilise and breathe in these deep postures is essential to safety and longevity in your practice and body.

Deep & Free is all levels and great for students and teachers with injuries or with more restricted ankles, knees, hips and spines.

Learning how to align your spine is the main goal of asana in the Hatha Yoga system. When you open and align your spine, the energy within your body and nervous system flows with ease and grace, creating health and vitality in your organs, glands and musculoskeletal systems.

Fluid Power is for everyone who has a spine. You will learn how to mobilise and stabilise your spine with precision and ease. The main focus and outcome for this workshop is to teach you how to move from your core without locking your core. I will be teaching you extremely important techniques and practices, which includes specific breathing techniques, and joint activation and stabilisation techniques. This workshop is all levels from new students to experienced practitioners.

Many years ago, when I was searching for greater meaning and purpose within my life, people would randomly say, just follow your heart. The interesting thing was no-one ever showed me or taught me how to follow my heart. Lots of advice with no practical explanation or guidance. Until one day, I walked into a Yoga studio and a particular teacher walked into the room and spoke directly to my heart, my values and the subconscious limiting negative core belief systems that I was running. After that one class, I returned the next day and continued to practice daily for two years before he taught me how to teach Yoga. The rest is history.

If you dread backbends, then the chances are your shoulders and tight and restricted. You will learn how to open the shoulder girdle safely and gently. You will also learn how to awaken and stabilise your shoulder girdle, forearms and wrist complex, which are essential when practicing Vinyasa Yoga. The next step is learning how to allow the front of your body to open and lengthen without collapsing. This is where we learn how to breathe and trust the process of opening our vulnerable hearts of the world around us.
